Policies, Procedures, & Recommendations

All animals must meet Pet Playhouse and Kennels requirements for Vaccinations.

These must be kept current for the health of all kennel residents:

• Da2ppL, Distemper/Lepto/Parvo Vaccine

• Rabies Vaccine

• Bordetella Vaccine

• Flea/tick prevention

Please supply us with updated records as your dog is vaccinated.

General Health Considerations

Please be sure to apply flea and tick preventatives monthly. Unfortunately we can not control every thing that comes into the facility. Making sure your dog is protected also protects your home and other pets from infestations.

Please have a fecal sample taken every 3-6 months if not on a monthly wormer. The facility is located on an old dairy farm so there is potential for your pet to pick up parasites such as hookworms and Giardia. It may be advisable to discuss this with your Veterinarian.

Please check your dog for any scratches or scrapes on a weekly basis. We will also be doing this while they are here, but we may not catch everything. If you do notice the same issues reoccurring please bring this to our attention. There may be things we can do or we can change the way we operate.

Doggie daycare is here to help exercise and socialize your dog. Note that dogs can also pick-up some bad habits such as barking, rough play with other dogs, or jumping on people outside of daycare. We will do our best to keep these issues to a minimum.

Other Policies and Services

We are happy to offer services to include nail trims, baths, ear cleaning, or comb-outs while your dog is here, please speak to a staff member for fee information.

The Pet Playhouse cannot be responsible for items left in the kennel, but we will do our best to label and keep your items until you can pick them up. We will discard items left more than 2 weeks if we have not heard from you.

Medications will be given as per the instructions of the owner, please be sure to let us know of any changes since your last visit.
